For those of you unfamiliar, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an upcoming first-person, medieval themed, story driven game made by the developers over at Warhorse (who's team members include developers who have worked on numerous AAA games such as Mafia I & II, the Operation Flashpoint series, as well as ArmA & ArmA Armed Assault). Don't feel too bad if you haven't heard of it, though, as it isn't incredibly popular. With the trailer above only bringing in 129,805 total views (as of when this article is posted) as apposed to other gameplay trailers bringing in millions, you could say that it's flying fairly low in the gaming sphere's radar.
So, what is Kingdom Come: Deliverance? Well, aside from what I previously said above, it's quite different from other medieval games that you may be used to. Instead of there being magic being thrown every which way, or an evil dark lord ruling over a certain area in the woods, it's all based on real events that happened in the 15th century in "the heart of Europe", or, Bohemia. As the story goes for the game, the King of Bohemia has died and his son, Wenceslas IV, has become the new king. There's apparently lots of Game of Thrones-esque drama that happens with the royal family of Bohemia. The new King's half-brother, Sigismund, imprisons him and invades Bohemia with his own army. All while this is happening, the main character, Henry, suffers a great deal. Sigismund's army destroys his home and kills his family, thus leaving Henry to run and join the army. Sounds all great and fun.
Players will be able to fully immerse themselves in a fully detailed reconstruction of Bohemia in the 15th century as well as fight in large battles and sieges (that all happened in real life, by the way), and they'll be able to use whatever armory a Bohemian knight in the 15th century had. Aside from this, players will also be able to follow Henry's journey to becoming a knight, all in glorious first-person.
You can look forward to playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance on February 13th, 2018, and it'll be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Are you excited for Kingdom Come: Deliverance? Let us know in the comments!
