That's right, Skyrim is coming out on the Switch, and with a lovely little twist. Skyrim now belongs to the Hero of Time!
Bethesda has revealed a Nintendo Switch version of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim it its pre-E3 2017 press conference - and its embraced its expansion into the Nintendo name.
Marking its quick mastery of the RPG genre, Nintento and Bethesda have Switched things up and implemented its already iconic title Legend of Zelda: Breadth of the Wild into one of video games’ most loved game.
Through amiibo support, players will be able to dress up like Link in his Champion attire and roam through Tamriel - and actually kill a dragon without the shenanigans.
During the reveal trailer, A link amiibo was used to spawn a treasure chest and granted the player with Link’s Master Sword, Hylian shield and the uncharacteristic blue garb.
Skyrim for the Switch will include all of Skyrim’s dlc add-ons; Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn… So yes ladies and gents - Link can marry Zelda and have kids (albeit through some mental roll-play and adoption, but its a step).
Skyrim was one of the first titles confirmed for the switch, but Bethesda kept all details regarding the port zip-tight. The company now confirms that the game will feature motion control thanks to the system’s Joy-Con.
