Iron Galaxy and publisher Maximum Games have released the trailer for Extinction.
The game will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC no sooner than Spring 2018. The cinematic trailer doesn’t give too much away in terms of gameplay - but it looks a lot like Attack On Titan.
Hopefully we get some gameplay from E3 - but either way colour me excited!
The game is set in a world where humans are stuck in an immortal war against ‘throngs of ravenous monsters standing 150 feet tall’ that want only to destroy mankind.
The trailer speaks of an ancient order that protected humanity from these monsters, and stand as its only defenders. However, only one remains - You, the player… or more accurately warrior named Avil who has wicked skill, speed and strength and bad ass hair… but you control him!
The website tells us that the game will feature a deep story mission, ripe with dynamic side quests. The combat system is said to be very much like the trailer, including running along walls, using your whip to vault yourself to higher platforms, etc. It very much looks like Assassin’s Creed's world and game-style meets Devil May Cry’s pace and combat.
It also features an ‘Extinction Mode’, where players fight off a continuous horde of assailants as wave after wave of ogres and their minions attack without respite.
